Dealing with Disasters - Products

Emergency Plans

Developing an all-hazard plan for protecting the lives of the students and staff and the school site may seem like an extremely difficult challenge, but it need not be with the Dealing With Disasters Emergency Plan Templates. These plans have been tried and tested in schools throughout the United States and are based on the nationally recommended Incident Command System, (ICS). The Emergency Plan Templates cover the four phases of emergency management: Preparedness, Response, Recovery and Mitigation. Checklists for all school staff and volunteer positions are included and response checklists for all potential disasters are provided.

Whether the plan is created by school personnel or through the use of our consultants, you will have a plan that will meet all the potential disasters of today, including weapons of mass destruction, chemical and biological hazards, intruders on campus and active shooters, not to mention natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, fires, and hurricanes. Emergency Response Forms, Sample Parent Letters, Equipment Lists, and Classroom Hazard Checklists are just some of the templates included in these plans. When the plan is complete, it will provide the basis for receiving response, recovery, and /or mitigation monies as they are available from the state and federal governments.
